A summer week in St. Germain is about as good as it gets – there are long warm days on the lake, lazy evenings by the campfire, and timeless summer events and activities that the whole family can enjoy. Find treasure! On Mondays, there’s no place like the St. Germain Flea Market. The market is incredible, and it’s one of the largest flea markets in the Midwest. Discover all kinds of wonderful items, including Northwoods antiques, and gorgeous and unique arts and crafts. The market draws a lot of great vendors and it fills up the wooded and grassy areas of St. Germain Community Park. Allow plenty of time to enjoy the market – you may work up an appetite wandering through the stalls, but there are some great food vendors on site, as well as restrooms and plenty of parking.
Bingo! On Monday evenings, from 7-9 p.m., St. Germain hosts a lively community bingo game throughout the summer at the St. Germain Community Center. It’s incredibly popular and when you attend, you’ll see why – bingo lovers of all ages enjoy an evening of throwback fun and a chance at cash prizes, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. It’s a classic Northwoods experience that’s a great time, even if you don’t win big. Join the crowd for a chance to yell, bingo!
Catch a show! Enjoy some of the best live entertainment in the Northwoods at a St. Germain Concert Crawl music series. These concerts take place on Wednesday nights – see upcoming performers and locations on our events page. The free, family friendly shows take place June through August each year, rain or shine. Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy the show.
See some thrills! On Wednesday and Saturday evenings, head up to Plum Lake to catch on the of the thrilling action of the Plum Ski-Ters Water Ski Show Team. This competitive Northwoods ski team is one of the best on the water. Catch the action on State House Point on Plum Lake. Shows are free, but donations are always welcomed. It’s a great family friendly activity – grab a seat on shore and enjoy the show.
Go fish! St. Germain is one of the top fishing destinations in the Northwoods – try your luck on one of St. Germain’s many excellent fishing lakes.
